Job Purpose:
We are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer to design, implement, and manage websites using the WordPress platform. You will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development, including creating WordPress themes, custom plugins, integrations, and ensuring site performance, responsiveness, and SEO best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins tailored to business needs.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers and content creators to translate wireframes and designs into functional web pages.
- Customize WordPress back-end functionality and implement API integrations as needed.
- Optimize websites for speed, SEO, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities.
- Implement tracking tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and marketing automation tags.
- Conduct regular site audits, updates, and backups to ensure site health and data security.
- Stay updated on the latest WordPress trends, plugins, and development tools.
- Support content teams with CMS enhancements and usability improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in WordPress development.
- Proficient in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Experience with custom theme and plugin development.
- Familiarity with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and website performance optimization.
- Experience with Git and version control systems.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
