Keller Williams, a residential real estate brokerage, is set to pay a $70 million settlement in an antitrust case.

On February 1, Keller Williams, a residential real estate brokerage, has agreed to a $70 million settlement to resolve allegations of conspiring to overcharge U.S. home sellers by billions of dollars in commissions paid to agents for buyers. The proposed settlement was disclosed by the plaintiffs’ lawyers in a Missouri federal court on Thursday and awaits approval from a judge. Notably, Keller Williams, based in Texas, did not admit wrongdoing. This settlement marks the third in the Missouri class action lawsuit, where home seller plaintiffs secured a $1.8 billion verdict in October against Keller Williams and other defendants, including the National Association of Realtors and Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway subsidiaries.
